Game Engines Competitive Analysis
This is a first approach to a heuristic analysis to different game engines UI, taking into consideration some of the most common elements used in the process of creating a game using either Unreal Engine 4, Unity, and Amazon's Lumberyard. This analysis is focused on design principles and the approach that each of the mentioned game engines.
Eye Tracking Analysis Report
This eyetracking report is an example of a qualitative study using biometrics with experienced users of an interactive software, in this case the video game World of Tanks, and how their visual system reacts to different situations that they would normally encounter while using/playing with this product. This particular study was performed with 12 participants who were experienced World of Tanks players (over 250 hours of game time), with participants playing for an hour and with their own accounts.
Playtest Report
This playtest report is an example of a quantitative study that was performed as a baseline for competitive analysis with interactive software/game of similar nature/genre. For this study there was a total of 64 participants, the players tested for this study were avid First person shooter (FPS) players who didn't have any previous experience with the game being tested (Battlefield 4) The data collection was done with FluidSurveys, and the report and data visualization was done with Microsoft Excel.
Expert Analysis
The following is a First Time User Experience expert analysis for the first 30 minutes of gameplay of MonstroCity: Rampage. This includes elements regarding the UI and gameplay. This analysis is based in both best practices for mobile games and on individual principles of design.
High Level Playtest Report
This is a high level report example of a quantitative test. The purpose of this presentation is to show the high level data of the experiment to a different audience. While the playtest report can be something sent over to designers and producers, this high level report is a document that can be more suited for stake holders and investors. In this case the high level report uses the same data as the Playtest report example.
